1. What data we collect
We collect personal data you provide directly, including:
- Name, billing and shipping address, email address, and phone number (provided at checkout)
- Payment information (processed securely by our payment provider — we do not store full card details ourselves)
- Order history and correspondence with our support team
We also automatically collect technical and behavioral data through cookies and similar technologies, including via the following third-party tools:
- Google Analytics (Google Ireland Limited) — website usage and traffic analysis
- Meta Pixel (Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd.) — advertising performance and retargeting on Facebook/Instagram
- TikTok Ads Pixel (TikTok Technology Limited) — advertising performance and retargeting on TikTok
These tools may set cookies and collect data such as IP address, device/browser information, pages visited, and interactions with our ads. Data collected via these tools may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries outside the EU/EEA by these providers.
2. Why we process your data (legal basis)
- Contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): to process and fulfill your orders, handle payments, arrange shipping, and manage returns/exchanges
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): to comply with German tax and commercial record-keeping requirements
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): to prevent fraud and secure our website
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): for Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Ads Pixel, and any optional marketing communications — you will be asked for consent via a cookie banner before these are activated, and may withdraw consent at any time
3. Who we share data with
- Our hosting/e-commerce platform provider (Shopify Inc. / Shopify International Ltd.), acting as our data processor
- Our payment processor, to complete transactions
- Shipping carriers, to deliver your order
- Google Ireland Limited, Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., and TikTok Technology Limited, for the analytics/advertising purposes described above
- Tax and legal authorities, where legally required
We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. International data transfers
Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA — including through Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Ads Pixel, or our hosting provider's infrastructure — we ensure this is protected through appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as required under Chapter V GDPR.
5. How long we keep your data
We retain order and invoicing data for as long as required under German commercial and tax law (typically 6–10 years under §§ 147 AO / 257 HGB). Analytics and advertising cookie data is retained according to each provider's default retention periods, or until you withdraw consent.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you (Art. 15)
- Request correction of inaccurate data (Art. 16)
- Request deletion of your data, where legally permitted (Art. 17)
- Request restriction of processing (Art. 18)
- Data portability (Art. 20)
- Object to processing based on legitimate interest or for direct marketing, including analytics/advertising cookies (Art. 21)
- Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — for Bavaria, this is the Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA)
7. Cookie consent
Because Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, and TikTok Ads Pixel are non-essential (marketing/analytics) cookies, German law (TTDSG) requires opt-in consent before they load — not just a notice. Your Shopify cookie banner must be configured to block these until the visitor actively accepts, with an equally easy way to reject as to accept.
